Folks from all around braved the 95 degree temperatures to attend the rally at the St. Louis Regional Airport.  There were seven units from Lincolnland, seven from Southern Illinois, one from Kentucky.  Seven members stopped in to attend the activities without their trailers.

Fried chicken and potluck was served on Friday night.  Saturday was grill night for burgers, hot dogs.  On Saturday some took the Lock and Dam tour on the Mississippi River while others went to the various flea and farmers markets around Alton and Grafton and to Pere Marquette.  Saturday night we had plane rides after dinner and came back to a paper airplane throwing contest and ice cream.

The Southern Illinois Unit’s own Louise Humble was installed as the Region 5 President at the International Rally in Gillette.  The region is sure to be in good hands for the next two years.  Congratulations Louise!
