5 years: Walter and Linda Hanglesben, Jim and Betty Hutchens, Charles and Sarah Kirchner, Art and Doris Meier.

The annual Christmas party will be Sunday, December 7, 2008, 1:30 p. m., at the Holiday Inn in Mt. Vernon. The meal will be the Sunday buffet as it was last year. The cost is $16.00 per person. Make your check payable to Gordon White, P.O. Box 215, Carbondale, IL 62903-0215.

Please send your checks by November 26 in order to know how many plan to attend. We wish that everyone would be able to attend in order to share in the sprit of the season and have one more chance to visit this year. However, we know that some will have already gone south and others will have other commitments.

The November rally will be at Forbes State Park, Friday-Sunday, November 7-9.

Park near the one shelter in the camping area. There will be no organized activities. However, the Friday evening meal will be a common chili pot and the Saturday evening meal will be a common soup pot. Bring your favorite chili and non-cream soup to put in the common pot both evenings. Bring your own hot dogs or brats for roasting over the open fire.

The camping fee is $20/night which you will pay directly to the Park Ranger.
