Altamont /Effingham County Fairgrounds

Come one! Come all! Have fun! It’s fall!

Friday will be visiting at seven (7:00), enjoy donuts and apple cider and you will think you’re in heaven.(just attend)

Saturday at 8:00 – biscuits and gravy, fruit too, and it’s all just for you. Come bring your plate and like any good Airstreamer, please don’t be late.

Then around 10:00 am the meeting begins, with officers both old and new, to be installed (and retired too) to lead this motley crew.

There will be apple butter brewing with Morris and Shirley Clodfelter manning the pot. Be sure and bring a pint jar or two so on a cool morning you’ll have some to share, as you remember it cooking and how it’s smell filled the air.

If this isn’t enough to get you there, there will be ham and beans cooking in a big pot, hot cornbread and whatever you bring to the lot (bring a salad or dessert, table service, drink).

Sunday morning comes in with a flair, of course there will be breakfast, although it won’t be a seven course affair (7:30 am, bring your own table service).

Sunday church at 9:00 so that we may worship the divine, Brother Leroy will lead us in prayer and music by Art, so be sure and be there on time because it will soon be time to part.

11:00 am – Calling all cooks of 039, bring a covered dish and please be on time; otherwise you may be standing in line.

Directions to Effingham County Fairground Rally Sight: From I-70 Exit 82, go North on S. Main St. to US40 (4-way stop sign). Turn right and proceed between .5. and .6 miles to Fairground entrance on the right.
