Southern Illinois Unit Members,

The motion to disband the Southern Illinois Unit was take during the business meeting on August 20, 2016.  The motion to disband the unit passed on a 6-0 vote.  Members in attendance were Cathy Cyres, Art & Doris Meier, Karl & Erika Schaette, Gordon & Carol White, Bob & Linda Moeller, and Dan Nugteren by phone from Washington D.C.

The final formal activity of the Unit will be the joint rally with Illinois Lincolnland on October 21-24, 2016.

Enclosed with this memo is a copy of the scrip from the Unit’s tenth anniversary rally held at Ramsey State Park, August 17-19, 1973.  The Unit was formed at its initial rally at Ramsey State Park, August 17, 1963.  The transcript was in the folder holding the Unit Charter which will be returned to International Headquarters on October 31, 2016.

This closes the book on a very active unit over the 50+ years of its existence.  I encourage each of you to choose a unit to join in 2017 in which you can continue to enjoy membership in WBCCI.
