Projects Update
May 23, 2007 | NewsletterThe “Common Cents for Kids” project got off to a big bang with Carol White’s planning and directing. The quilt top was completed and we showed it at Church on Sunday. Carol will now take it to the quilter and then let the donations begin. We are already off to a good start with the donations especially after the challenge that went on on Saturday, thanks to John S. and Gordon W.
The donations will help children from everywhere. I bet there were some who thought that this was a huge undertaking for this rally. With a lot of work and planning it became a reality and during this time we had Fun (all the laughing), Fellowship (talk, talk, talk), and Adventure (ripping out seams and learning quilt making techniques). Workers were; Carol White, Linda Hanglesben, Norma Koen, Rose Ann Schwartz, Linda Zoeller, Doris Meier, Sarah Doerr, Marian Hoffman, Stella Thompson, and Betty Hutchens. There were sewers, rippers, cutters, go’fers, placers, pressers and on lookers. It was a learning experience as well as a lot of fun. Again thanks for all the help. GOOD WORK GIRLS!
Bulletin Board project is still a work in progress!
